Just one little guy hatched. And we didn't expect any.
The mother goose sat on a small nest of eggs for 28 days, fended off the over-eager wanna-be mother who wanted to rearrange and steal eggs, fended off all the barn cats and ducks who peeked in at her, hissed at me every single time I walked into the barn for a whole month....
And she has one adorable, bold gosling to show for her awesome attentiveness.
I'd say it was worth it!
